Scheduled distance against the distance a bus was actually tracked over, by operator and by route. Operated mileage is measured from the first stop a bus was seen at to the last, so a journey that turned short loses the remainder rather than counting whole or nothing.

Every point is a bus that was tracked off the line it should have been on, plotted where it got furthest from that line. A journey that diverts and rejoins is seen at both ends, so the road it missed is inside the operated figure above — these are the miles somebody reported and did not drive.
